What laser hair removal can—and cannot—do
Laser treatment can reduce unwanted hair, but maintenance may be needed. Hair colour, skin tone and the area influence results; a consultation should establish whether laser is a sensible option for the hairs you want treated.
What happens at an appointment
The area is prepared and treated with a laser, with protective eyewear used. The size of the area affects appointment length. Ask Mederm which device is currently used and who will perform your procedure.
Laser or electrolysis?
Mederm lists both services. Laser and electrolysis use different approaches, so bring details of the area and previous hair-removal methods to compare the options. A package should follow that discussion, rather than determine it.
Build a complete quote
Ask for a written breakdown of the treatment area, appointment price, the $25 booking fee and what follow-up includes. Confirm how unused appointments and changes are handled before purchasing a course. Mederm’s current prices must be confirmed directly.
Prepare for your own plan
Bring your medication and skincare list, recent sun-exposure history and details of previous procedures. Ask for written preparation and aftercare instructions, including sun protection. Discuss possible irritation, pigment changes and other risks with the provider.
